Overview
The purpose of this role is to research, provide reports and advise private executives on ways to optimise health, (‘health-hacking’). The candidate will focus on preventative, natural, and alternative treatments that are compatible with a vegan lifestyle. Topics for research could include gene therapy, increasing life span, stem cell research, raw diets, micronutrients, electromagnetic therapy, SpO2 levels, ice and heat therapy, detoxing.

The post is full-time 5 days a week: Monday-Friday (09:00-18.00) based in Central London. Flexible arrangements would be considered including remote working in a freelance capacity.

The Role
Your main priority as a Health Researcher is to use your expert scientific knowledge to conduct in-depth research into a broad range of topics and to deliver these findings to private executives. Your daily tasks could include:
• Researching food choices and nutrition from a technical and scientific perspective, and offering nutritional advice
• Assessing the best supplements on the market, and keeping up to date with new options
• Analysing DNA and other health reports
• Analysing various measurements including weight, blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate, and body fat and providing reports explaining the data
• Compiling a list of the best specialists who are working to treat certain conditions including sleeping problems and back pain
• Researching and advising on ways of curing specific illnesses and diseases through non-drug/chemical methods
• Keeping up to date with the latest products and technologies that are being used in order to treat health problems or to optimise health, (eHealth)
• Attending and summarising conferences, events, and talks on relevant health topics
• Providing comprehensive summaries of research topics and presenting them

Skills and Experience
• Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
• A good undergraduate degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, or another related subject
• A Masters or PhD is desirable
• The ability to process scientific and medical literature
• Being able to read and evaluate the results of clinical trials
• The ability to interrogate sales material and assess trustworthiness
• Strong IT skills
• The ability to produce succinct and well-presented reports/ presentations
• Good at tailoring advice to specific needs
• Self-motivation with high level of enthusiasm
• Inquisitive with an open mind

Remuneration
Depending on experience and the candidate’s history, the salary on offer is negotiable.
